5 Stars This Book Probably Saved My Life
I’ve read both Allen Carr’s books on quitting smoking – today I’m a confirmed non-smoker! His approach to “reprogramming” all those lies about smoking really worked – I just simply don’t want or need to smoke anymore! Simply amazing book! It should be mandatory reading in high schools/colleges/hospitals, etc – anywhere there are still people smoking!
3 Stars Books are great but you have to Want to Quit
I gave this book to my girlfriend in the hopes she would stop smoking! She has reduced the amount of “breaks” throughout the day but is still smoking. Books can only do so much. If you have the right frame of mind this book can provide support. Good Luck to anyone trying to quit!
2 Stars Not what I expected
As a supplement to Alan Carr’s oringinal easyway book, the little book of quitting is cool. But alone, this book is not really all that motivational. I read the Easyway and this book twice, and I’m still smoking like a chimney. Don’t waste your money, just go buy some patches.

5 Stars pseudo cigarette pack
Very handy and convenient little book full of a lot of USEFUL information. I like how it narrowed down what kind of smoker I was. That’s important since the quitting steps differ between the various types. Although, great… You still have to WANT to quit for it to work.
5 Stars I read a lot of books – this was one of them.
When I was trying to give up smoking I read a lot of books. this was one of them. this was one of the beter ones. The one that did it for me though was The Voice of Tobacco. Good book, great idea, stopped me and made me laugh as well.
5 Stars It worked!
I smoked 2-3 packs a day of menthols and tried the pills and hypnosis but neither worked. Read this book in less then 2 hours and haven’t smoked since! That was over 7 years now and saved thousands of dollars not to mention smelling like a dirty ashtray. Please try this book before you blow money on useless treatments like I did. Good luck!
5 Stars HELPS YOU QUIT ANYTHING
I used this book years ago to quit smoking (successfully now, for 20+ years). Besides the very good advice about how to quit smoking, I especially like the pages in the back where you list your reasons for quitting. You can use this technique for quitting anything, so this book is very handy as a diet book if you want to lose weight. Just keep going back to your list of reasons for losing weight, e.g. health, blood pressure, get into small size jeans, etc. , and you will find it easier to modify your behaviour. The book is small enough to carry in your pocket, like a pack of cigs. Keep re-reading page 109, and your list of reasons, and it will help you quit any bad habits you truly want to change.

I usually don’t write reviews for anything—, but I just have to tell you that George Wissing’s Book ” Stop Smoking For the Last Time ” is packed with some dynamite information– for those of you who are looking to stop smoking.
Folks, this is good stuff! If you really DESIRE to stop smoking, I highly recommend this book.
I’ve smoked for about 40 years averaging 2-3 packs a day. In the past, I have tried practically all the different gimmicks (patches, the gum, hypnosis, Chantix, the cold turkey approach or rather “the old willpower method”). Nothing worked.
Wissing’s approach is quite unique, a truly revitalizing & inspirational method. Your answers to YOUR particular smoking problem can be found within the pages of this book.
I read the book last night and this morning, I decided I didn’t want to smoke anymore. Yes, just like that! No magic, there is some work involved– but if you have the right frame of mind— this can SEEM like magic. No kidding!
5 Stars Must Have If You Want To Quit
This book is a must have if you’re sincere about quitting smoking. I spent a long time trying to quit unsuccessfully. George’s book gave me an in depth understanding of the roadblocks I had created for myself. George’s book then armed me with the mental tools I needed to overcome my habit. I did the online session (1/2 hour) and have not smoked since! My withdrawl symptoms were minimal. Thanks George!

5 Stars A must-read for even the non-smoker
I just finished reading George Wissing’s new book, Stop Smoking for the Last Time. WOW! What a breath of fresh air. As a physician and surgeon, I had never heard of anything like this before. It truly shed new light on a common problem that I as a doctor have to deal with on a daily basis. I’m not a smoker, but reading this book gave me so much insight into the mind of the smoker, and even more reason to be kind, patient, and understanding of their true “addiction”, which Mr. Wissing states is not due to nicotine. He makes some convincing arguments that it’s not so much a chemical dependency that’s keeping you addicted, but more of an emotional one that leads to a Pavlovian “habit.” His concept of smoking as a form of deep breathing and meditation was what really gave me an “ah-ha” moment for me.
Even if you don’t smoke, or if you have other “habits” such as an eating problem, this book’s basic concepts can be applied to almost any of life’s problem areas. I’ve already started implementing some of his recommendations into my life, and I’m already beginning to feel better.

I bought this book years ago and enjoyed the sensible, easy-to-follow approach. I successfully quit smoking. I have since purchased it as a gift for friends several times.
5 Stars It Helped A Lot.
I almost hate to review this book because it will publicly link my name with smoking. It is worth it, though, because this review may help someone else to ditch cigarettes. I thought I needed all the help I could get to stop smoking. I liked the approach this author has and I still refer to this book. It has a no nonsense approach that appealed to me and works well into the process of stopping smoking. I recommend this book to anyone who is considering breaking their smoking habit.
1 Star Too many errors
This book needs some serious editing. I couldn’t get past the numerous grammatical errors in the introduction and first chapter to finish the book. I don’t expect perfection, but there were numerous cases where the author didn’t know the difference between different forms of words (”they’re”, “there”, and “their”, for example) and repeated the same mistake over and over.

Received the book very quickly and it was in good condition. Well worth the price and worked its magic in under a week. Haven’t smoked in two months and found it wasn’t difficult to do at all!! I can now say I am a non-smoker!!!
5 Stars Wow, it works!
I’ve now given this book to eight of my friends who smoke. Five of them have quit for good. One is reading the book as I write this. This is a no-nonsense, non-scare tactic way to quit if you really want to quit. He really breaks your addiction down simply and and effectively. If you truly want to quit (a lot of smokers say they do, but they don’t, actually) this book should do the trick.
5 Stars Three Days Shy of Eight Months
My most recent purchase of this book was actually for my brother. I, however, read it over eight months ago and quit smoking cold turkey on January 14th, 2009 after being a smoker for 16 years.
It really was the easy way to quit smoking and I can happily say that I’m a non-smoker for good now.
Currently, I recommend this book to all of my smoking friends who mention wanting to quit. It’s the best way I’ve seen thus far.
